Text message terms

What the program is

Emma's Hair Salon & Makeup sends appointment reminder text messages to clients who have booked an appointment with us and have given us their mobile number for that purpose. That is the whole program - reminders about your own appointment, and nothing else.

How you sign up

You opt in when you give us your mobile number while booking - in the salon or over the phone - and agree to receive appointment reminders at that number. We do not add anyone who has not booked with us, and we never buy phone numbers from anyone.

How often we text

Message frequency varies with your appointments. In practice that is up to two messages per appointment - one about three days before and one the day before - and never more than one message a day.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message and we will stop texting that number. You will get one final message confirming it, and then nothing further. You can also just tell us at the salon or call (516) 333-5495 and we will take you off. Stopping texts does not cancel your appointment - we will simply reach you another way.

If you change your mind later, reply START to the same number or ask us in the salon.

What a message looks like

"You have an appointment with Emma's Hair Salon on Jul 31 at 12:00 PM. Call 516-333-5495 if this is incorrect. Reply C to confirm. Reply STOP to opt out."

Replying C confirms your appointment and we will text back to say thank you. That is the only automatic reply in the program.

Cost

We do not charge you anything for these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your own mobile plan and carrier.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes

If we change how this program works, we will update this page. Continuing to receive reminders after a change means the updated terms apply.
